First Teeth

Shelby's first tooth came in last week and she bit me! Her second one came in this past weekend. Now she thinks she's really grown.

This morning I took some pix of the babies at Shelby's daycare. Here are the two pix I took of Shelb.


Poor Shelb can't catch a break. This past Saturday she threw up (projectile vomitted) three out of four feedings. She didn't have a fever and she wasn't cranky. She would just gag and then puke. And, actually, Karl and myself were both sick this weeken too.

Shelby at the Doctor's

Here is Shelby, all smiles at the doctor's office this morning. She had a re-check appointment to see if her ear infection is all gone. The infection is gone apparently but there is still some fluid in her right ear. No antibiotics again though. We'll have to watch and wait and hope it doesn't get re-infected.


Of course, the smiles didn't last because she got three shots today - two in one leg and one in the other. Poor baby cried and through her tears and screams she was looking at me like, "Why are you letting them do this to me??!!" I felt so bad.

My Funny Bunny

This was Shelb at school on Friday. Don't ask me why she had bunny ears on.


She's so big now - 6 months old! And what a personality. She's getting good at moving around too. What a gorgeous smorgeous (yes, yet another nickname). She loves to stare and touch things. She likes crumpling paper and then eating it. Poor booby has a bad cough still. I have to take her back to the dr's this week for a follow-up exam from last week's visit.

She's Eating Solid Food

I guess you can call peas and carrots 'solid' even considering the fact that they are pureed into mush! Shelby didn't care so much about the peas, but the carrots she loved. I couldn't get them in her mouth fast enough. She kept pulling my arm and sticking out her tongue. I think I'll tape an episode....

As usual, Sid was my photographer (he's getting some great experience). His first attempt to catch her eating didn't work though cause he obviously missed her mouth altogether. That day she was eating peas.
Sunday she was eating carrots so I had Sid retake the picture.

My mother brought this outfit back from Jamaica so here is Shelb representin' for Jamaica.

Aren't these the cutest little sneakers! The grandma of another little girl gave them to us. When she bought them she didn't realize that they were too small for her granddaughter.
